The Covid-19 outbreak has negatively impacted several ongoing and planned activities under the Erasmus+ programme. It is often a challenge for beneficiaries including students, volunteers and other participants to drastically change and adapt in this time of crisis and uncertainty to the new situation. The European Commission has published a FAQ that offers guidance and practical advice to the participants.
As pointed out, several activities, in the frame of the Erasmus+ programme and notably with regard to the cooperation activities and projects at the transnational level, are severely impacted. In the case of the ERUM project, the partners have met several times online to discuss the risk mitigation plan. In a nutshell, the first event on the popularisation of research results will be postponed to Autumn 2020 and the first international study programme that fosters exchange between higher education students will be postponed to early 2021. The reports on controversial topics represented in media will be published at the beginning of June 2020. These reports will shed light on topical issues related to mis- and disinformation in media such as the Covid-19 outbreak and 5G. Stay tuned!
