First transnational project meeting: Thessaloniki in December 2019

14 January, 2020

In December 2019, the ERUM consortium met for the first time in Thessaloniki, Greece. During this productive partner meeting that was hosted by the University of Thessaloniki’s Media Informatics Lab, partners had the chance to get to know each other and learn more about the other participating organisations. Besides elaborating on internal project management strategies, dissemination and quality assurance within the project, the two days of work sessions included discussions on IO1 that was presented by the Austrian coordinator (the University of Vienna) as well as on IO2 in which Vytautas Magnus University will take the leading role. IO1 will be a report on controversial topics and their representation in the media that aims at raising students’ awareness about gaps in media representation. The report will inform the creation of guidelines for evidence-based communication that are meant to serve as an educational resource for postgraduate students to develop their transversal skills in connection to (science) communication and mis/disinformation (IO2).
