ERUM’s fourth transnational project meeting

ERUM’s fourth transnational project meeting

31 May, 2021

On 26 May 2021, the ERUM consortium met for the fourth time. Due to the current public health crisis, the meeting was held online via Zoom, and it was chaired by Judith Götz, Alessandra Santoianni and Johanna Urban from the University of Vienna.

During this productive day, the project partners focused on achieved milestones and the project next steps. The event was also an opportunity to address the internal management and dissemination strategies, as well as an opportunity to collect feedback on the second Multiplier Event, conducted online on 20 May.

As far as the next steps are concerned, the consortium discussed the progress and technical implementation of IO3 (Learning Material for Higher Education Students), which is led by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and will be finalised by May 2022.

IO3 aims to produce learning material for higher education students to:

  1. Deepen their knowledge about mis- and disinformation.
  2. Equip them with critical thinking skills to improve their resilience to “fake news.”
  3. Raise awareness about its impact on our society.

During the last part of the meeting, the preparation of the next Intensive Study Programme (ISP) was discussed. Associate Professor Nikolaos Panagiotou and Professor Andreas Veglis from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki informed partners about the organisation state of the summer program. Finally, the consortium agreed on the dates and the implementation strategy of the program and discussed each partner’s contribution.
