REX recommendations for more informed Erasmus+ mobility choices

REX recommendations for more informed Erasmus+ mobility choices

October 7, 2026

How can higher education institutions and policymakers make it easier for students to explore and choose mobility opportunities that match their needs and expectations? The newly published REX Recommendations translate the project’s findings into practical measures for those involved in student mobility.

The recommendations draw on the REX findings and outputs, providing insights into how students select potential mobility destinations, and where current approaches could be improved.

The document highlights approaches to make Erasmus+ opportunities more accessible, attractive and relevant to students, while supporting more informed decision-making throughout the mobility journey. It also considers how innovative tools such as virtual reality could complement existing information and help students gain a better understanding of potential destinations before making their choice.

The recommendations are intended to provide a practical basis for further discussion and action at both institutional and programme level, contributing to a more student-centred approach to Erasmus+ mobility.
