The international team of the Erasmus+ REX project, led by the University of Maribor’s Faculty of Tourism (FT UM) and Assist. Prof. Dr. Vita Petek is developing solutions to encourage student mobility during their studies. Experiences gained from studying at partner universities abroad are always welcome and represent an important step in acquiring career-relevant competencies. The project team aims to find suitable and student-friendly ways to improve the quality of living, learning, and personal development during exchange programmes. In May 2025, the REX project was hosted by the University of Zadar where Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jasna Potočnik Topler discussed with local students what would motivate them to participate in mobility programmes and also gathered insights from the teaching staff. In addition to sufficiently high and timely scholarships, students highlighted the attractiveness of the destination where the faculty is situated.
