Internationalisation brings many opportunities for higher education institutions, but it also comes with increasingly complex challenges. From ethical dilemmas and responsible partnerships to uncertainty and changing global contexts, institutions need approaches that are both resilient and grounded in shared values.
The FORTIFY project is developing practical resources to help HEIs strengthen resilience and make internationalisation more responsible, sustainable and values-based.
You can help shape this work while reflecting on your institution’s practices.
The FORTIFY survey explores how HEIs currently approach resilient and responsible internationalisation, covering areas such as governance, ethics, legal and operational considerations, and resilience. By completing it, you can take a step back and reflect on what your institution is already doing, where there may be room for improvement, and what support could be useful in the future.
The survey takes around 20 minutes to complete and is anonymous. Your responses will contribute to the development of practical tools and resources for HEIs navigating an increasingly complex international environment.
Take the survey by 19 October 2026 and help shape the future of resilient, responsible internationalisation in higher education.
