The Erasmus+ REX project leader, Dr. Vita Petek, attended Augmented World Expo (AWE) USA 2025, the world’s largest VR and XR expo, held from 10-12 June 2025, in Long Beach, California. The event brought together over 300 exhibitors, 400 speakers, and around 6,000 attendees across a 150,000 ft² exhibition space.
This expo holds key significance for the Erasmus+ REX project: together with our partners, we are developing a Proof of Concept (PoC) for VR headsets. Through this engaging experience, we gathered insights from users and experts, explored the latest XR industry trends, and established numerous valuable connections with suppliers, researchers, and developers. These insights will inform the development of the PoC and help refine its features to better meet student needs.
Participation in AWE USA 2025 has significantly contributed to aligning the project with the latest technological trends and strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders in the field of extended reality.
