In November 2019, the NORM consortium met for the first time in Thessaloniki, Greece. During the meeting that was hosted by the University of Thessaloniki’s International Relations Office, partners had the chance to get to know each other and learn more about the other participating institutions. Besides elaborating on internal project management strategies, dissemination and quality assurance within the project, the two days of work sessions focused mostly on the assessment of existing mobility structures at the partner institutions. This discussion was meant to prepare the first Intellectual Output, led by Université Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, mapping mobility and identifying good practice at institutions. In addition, strategies for the development and dissemination of surveys on student mobility were discussed by the consortium members, to prepare the quantitative analysis in Intellectual Output 2, which will be led by University of Barcelona. The Surveys for students and staff will offer consolidated data on existing mobility schemes that will serve as a basis for the in-depth analysis of specific study fields in Intellectual Output 3, led by University of Marburg.
