Reunited in Konya: Turkish tea, ayran, and a year of big plans ahead

After a year-long hiatus since the in-person meeting in Brasov that launched the project, partners reunited this time in Konya, Türkiye. The hospitality of the Selçuk University team was unparalleled, offering a warm welcome that contrasted beautifully with the cold, snowy temperatures of central Anatolia.

Representatives from Selçuk University, Alcalá University, the University of Porto, Vytautas Magnus University, Erasmus Student Network, and the European University Foundation engaged in strategic and productive discussions, guided by project coordinator Transilvania University of Brasov, to plan the activities for 2026.

One of the major highlights for the upcoming year will be the release of a rich array of educational materials (videos, podcasts, and articles) designed for both students and higher education staff. Rooted in the research and data collection that occupied partners throughout 2025 (learn more here), these resources aim to provide practical guidance on preventive strategies for mental health abroad.

Moreover, a self-assessment tool will be launched this year, helping students evaluate their emotional state and recognise potential challenges during their mobility journey. This initiative stems from the belief that understanding one’s own mental well-being is the first step toward seeking support.

And that’s just the beginning. 2026 promises a full calendar of awareness-raising events, both online and in person. To stay updated on all the latest activities and resources, subscribe to our mailing list.
