Let’s talk about mobile students’ mental health

On Mental Health Day, we are sharing key insights from our recent survey on student mobility across Europe. The survey, conducted this spring, collected over 600 responses and explored the challenges students face before, during, and after their mobility experiences.

The results, condensed into an infographic, highlight important patterns in mental health challenges:

  • Anxiety consistently ranks as the top difficulty for students at every stage of mobility.

  • Differences appear depending on student cohort: bachelor’s students report more behavioural changes, while master’s and doctoral students face higher academic pressure.

These insights underscore the need for targeted mental health support tailored to students’ different experiences and stages. The data will guide the development of practical resources and materials by the project in the coming months.
