The DACEM project officially kicked off on February 7th and 8th in Vigo, Spain. The project is led by the University of Vigo in collaboration with a consortium of five other higher education institutions, including Charles University, Tallinn University, Thessaly University, University of Maribor, University of Orléans, and the Erasmus Student Network, the European University Foundation, and the IT company Virtual Campus LDA.
Erasmus students have long encountered challenges in accessing accurate and up-to-date course information, which often complicates decision-making and recognition of study achievements abroad. DACEM aims to address these issues head-on by revolutionising how students and institutions interact with course catalogues.
The project’s core focus is on enhancing transparency, accessibility, and recognition of courses across borders. Through comprehensive mapping of existing course catalogues and close analysis of user needs, DACEM aims to develop a user-friendly software that integrates seamlessly with existing tools like Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) and the Online Learning Agreement (OLA).
By leveraging technology and collaborative efforts, DACEM seeks to create a more equitable and transparent academic environment for all students, irrespective of their backgrounds.
Stay tuned for updates on DACEM’s progress as it works towards enhancing academic mobility in Europe.
